Cannot open ACU with Internet Explorer 8

Hi!

I´ve installed the Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) in Windows Server 2003 x86. After this, I can´t access the ACU (Array Configuration Utility) anymore... The IE8 crashes.

Is it a Microsoft or an HP problem?

HW: DL360G5
Support Pack: 8.15 or 8.20
OS: Windows Server 2003 32-bit

ACU doesn't work, with internet explorer 8 at this moment. It works with 7 and 6. Maybe in the next PSP will be supported.

Try to turn on compatibility mode. Works for me.

Gary,
Start IE8, go to Tools, Compatibility View Settings. Check 2nd option on bottom part (intranet settings) or even better - check last one, making IE to open all the sites in compatibilty mode.
It works for me, on DL360G5 with Windows 2008 - x64 version, PSP is 8.20A.

Did not work for me. ACU first complains that there is another instance running, then crashes IE.

Any help ?

uninstall IE8 and wait for a PSP that support IE8.

This workst for me just uncheck the first 2 check boxes (Include update... and Display internet.....) and check the last one (Display all......) and then start the IE8 and enter the in the address bar hpapp://ACU-XE/ACU.htm

Same problem here. I have tried the compatability mode thing to no avail. I can open the applet in a browser but, when I try to right click on the logical drive1 and select more information - I get error messages. Annoying because I used to use this to monitor the health of my RAID array disks.

I am supplying three images that illustrate the situation: config1, more info, noopen

I may have to uninstall IE 8. Would be nice if there was another solution (as in a solution from HP) as I like to keep my software programs updated whenever possible.

For those of you who said it didn't work or kept getting an error message saying the ACU was already running try using the 32-bit version of IE in compatibility mode. I had the same issue on an x64 issue with the x64 version of IE, but the x32 bit worked like charm.
