Select RAID 1+0.

On a Smart Array Controller (assuming you have a Smart Array), RAID 1+0 is effectively the same as RAID1 when you have only 2 disks in an Array.

That being said, your configuration could/should looke like:

Array 1: 2 disks
Logical Drive 1: <SOME amount="" of="" space="">:RAID 1+0

Array 2: 4 disks
Logical Drive 1: <SOME amount="" of="" space="">:RAID1+0

Steven
</SOME></SOME>

Hello everyone, my client buy a ML350 G5 with 6 146gb disks. I have to configure 2 disks in RAID 1, and 4 disks in RAID 1+0.
When I enter to the RAID utility, only shows on the screen the options RAID 0, RAID 1+0 and RAID 5. So, the question is, How can I do a RAID 1?? It´s possible?? Or the Controller not supports RAID 1??
I apprecciate all the help that you can give me, ´cause I´m totally lost and don´t know how to do it.

Thank you so much

Hi,
If RAID 1 is not present in RAID utility, so you can not dot it.

The better procedure is 2 HDD in RAID1+0
4HDD in RAID5 , you can talk with your client for this procedure.

If it helps, pls assign point

Rgds//
Taifur
