Hi,

we have received a hp dl380 server.

I see 2 Cd's included. A firmware maintenance cd and hp smartstart cd.

which of these cd's have the proliant support pack. I made a mistake of installing windows 2003, without using the smartstart cd, so now need to install PSP.

Thanks

ok boot from cd this will update all firmwares

then reboot from software cd thsi has proliant support pack in it

now boot from the software cd

let the wizzards guide you to do everything like create raid , install operating system ,

this will then automajic\ally install the proliant support pack and all neccessary drivers

now one day when you want to run diagnostics set bios to boot from cd and boot from the software cd as it is also a diagnostics cd
and can check all hardware , and create a log which you can save to usb ,
but put usb stick in before you boot off it or it will not install drivers for the usb stick , and that way you cannot save the log file to it

points appreciated thanks.....
enjoy :)

Hi Sanjay,
You can install PSP manually after installing OS.
1. You will found it on the Smart Start CD
2. You can also download it from internet and install it
Download Link:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316558&prodNameId=3288138&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-c2b8b8e222c24208b3cfa79344&mode=3
