There are yet newer versions.

The HPQILO2.SYS driver is up to v 1.15, and the ILO2 firmware has been upped to v1.80.

In my experience, the 1.15 driver update has been requiring a reboot.

as far as I know the HPQILO2.SYS driver is not necessary to get rid of the event id 57s

just the HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver and ILO fw should be up to date and after updating the server should be rebooted of course.

Herbert, did the error messages regarding ILO disappear after the update? This should be the case.

We have now ruled out ASRs caused by event id 57s. So probably another cause is responsible for the reboots.

I would recommend you to run the smart start
CD 8.30 on the server, go to maintain server, then to insight diagnostics, then to test, choose complete test, then select all devices and choose 5 loops, and start the diagnosis (take into account that it might take up to a few hours to complete this test).

This test will test all HW components on the sysboard and the sysboard itself.

If nothing comes out of this, perhaps it would be wise to send a memory dump to microsoft or HP for further analysis or troubleshooting
