Can Smart array221 support a 72 gig ultra wide 320 drive ?

I'd like to use a 72 gig ultra wide 320 drive as my boot drive with maint partition.
Is it "do able" with my system?
I'm a novice trying to learn something about configuring and using servers. I've inherited an Ml350 g1 server with a smart array 221 controller with a single 9.1 gig scsi Hd. On it I've installed windows sbs2003 and found no room to do anything.

It will *support* 36GB at 80MB/s.

You might be able to get it to work but the controller transfer speed will be limited.
