windows 2008 r2 is not supported in the server.

try installing w2k8 x64 from scratch (re-create the array and do not use the smart start), then download this (link below) extract it to xxx folder, open the folder and run the bpxxxxx.cmd and wait about 10 min, later check the event viewer.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=452749&prodNameId=3288142&swEnvOID=4024&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-9fdc6b339a2c421c839cc6efcb

let us know

DL360 G4P - updated all firmware, used ss 8.3 with Windows 2008 R2. The HBAs don't show up in device manager and there are 3 flagged devices:
Intel E7520 PCI Express Root Port C0
Intel E7525/E7520 PCI Express Root Port B0
Intel E7525/E7520/E7320 PCI Express Root Port A0

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Tried installing intel's chipset drivers as well as the Intel Chipset Identifier - no luck. Even tried reinstalling Windows 2008 (not R2) 64-bit, same errors.

I have installed just win 2008 (not R2) both with and without using ss and both times I had the same errors in device manager. I don't think I tried installing the psp though - I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

I installed Win 2k8 R2 on an identical G4p and I had no problems. So... I'm not sure whats different on this one. Could there be a weird BIOS setting or something tripping me up?

if you feel comfortable working with the BIOS settings, set them to defaults and then configure the ones you need.
May be a failed system board also, i had a couple of cases in which i was not able to istall the drivers for the nics, gave me the same error no matter how hard i tried, re-place the system board (embedded NIC) and the drivers install....

JQ

Hi SW Jones,
Did you ever figure out the issue with this?

I am having the same problem too. Running SBS 2008, on a DL360 G4, I've tried the 2008R2, and get the same issues.

Kevin
Ditto. Just installed Windows 2008 RC2 64bit. Identical errors. Have not found a solution. Would like to encounter one....
