Mitch -

try to uninstall JRE again. But this time after the uninstallation is complete, go to your C:\program files\Javasoft

and delete all existing folders there. Log in to IM7 again to restart the installation.

I am running XP with sp1.I have java 1.4.2_01 installed and after I login to the CIM7 it tries to install 1.3.1_02 which I have done, but I still get an error saying "Java plug-in 1.3.1_01 cannot be located because Values in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Plug-in\1.3.1_01 is not found or no longer valid.

Mitch -

Uninstall both version of JRE. reboot your PC. log in to the IM7 server web interface again and let it install JRE version 1.3.1_02 during the installation, do not select any browsers. After you have te IM7 web interface up and running, install JRE 1.4.2_01 if needed by other apps, again during the installation if you're prompted to pick a browser, do not select any browser.

After both setups are complete, try both IM7 and any other apps that you have that requires JRE 1.4 to be installed.

Let me know how you make out.

I unistalled both versions and then rebooted. I logged in to CIM7 it installed 1.3.1_02. I didn't select a broswer, but still getting same error message. I am attaching the error this time. The only reason I had 1.4 is I was trying to fix this problem.

thanks

I finally figured out that Oracle has a program installed called universal installer that uses the same version of java. I unistalled the installer and then reinstalled the java for CIM7 and that fixed the problem.

thanks for the help.
