I'm able to get to the page that allow me to enter my username password and domain, but after suppling this information, the browser just sits there. Has anyone experienced the same problems. Could there be a conflict with the version of Java I'm running for another app.

I had a similar problem with HP SIM. Try to disable the proxy in IE if you are using one.

In the internet proxy settings, advanced tab, you could try specifying the address of the CIM server to "bypass proxy settings". For example, the whole subnet on which the CIM server and your general servers reside could be specified as 111.231.*.*
