Oh sorry I did not specifically address your question about the PSP - I am not sure why your "configurable components" tree control in the RDU is not working correctly. I just downloaded the 7.30PSP and checked it out and it looks to be working fine. You do not have to access configurable components by that particular category you can go to the specific PSP and find the SMH component and you should still be able to configure it from there also.

-Rich

Hello,

I've changed a server to a DC and now can't login to the Systems Management Home Page, as the local account no longer exists.
I've tried copying the CPQHMMD.ACL from another server, but that does not work for some reason, even after a reboot.
Next I thought upgrade from PSP 7.20 to 7.30 and reconfigure the components, but this is blank (See attached)

Why is this option not available ?
Thanks

Mark,
The System Management Homepage (SMH) now uses OS authentication for login. The problem is when you promoted the server to a DC it now requires that you use the domain as part of your login credentials. So, for example - if you used "Administrator" before you will need to use "domainname/Administrator" instead, where domainname is the name of your domain.
The CPQHMMD.ACL is no longer used for login - it is created and placed on the system purely for backwards compatibility in case people are running a mixed environment with older applications that were not written to support the new SMH.

-Rich
Thanks Rich,

I did actually read this after in another thread.

Is that why Configurable Components is now empty, as there is nothing to configure now?

Thanks

Replied too soon again - you can still configure the SMH it has a lot of preconfigure options still available - the big benefit now is that you only have to configure the one SMH component for security and technically it is not required to preconfigure anymore because it uses OS based security.

-Rich

Rich,

Found the component (see attached) and right clicked for configure options, but they are still blank...

No matter now though as I managed to get in anyway....
The real problem I was having was the SMH page was blank, until I stopped VCS and then refreshed the page (PSP 7.40 fix)

All working now though.
Thanks for your help.
