Anyone know if there is a fix yet for the following:
The Host Remote Alerter detected an error while attempting to retrieve data from key = CompaqHost\OsPerf\Component\LogicalDisk in the registry. The data contains the error code.

This error appears on a lot of our servers running Windows 2000 and 2003

There is a workaround published somewhere on the forum:
The "Performance Monitor" agent can be temporarily inactivated by going to control panel => HP Management Agents => highlight the Performance Monitor agent, and move it to the inactive list. When the agent is disabled, you will not recieve information on performance, but will still recieve all other regular agent information (such as alerts and failures, etc.)

Rolling back to 7.40 is another solution with it's own problem: this agent had the problem that there was a possibility that your cpu would suddenly run at 100% eating away all the resources for other applications(like that crucial finance application; he he). 7.41 was a fix for that problem.
The work around for that one was to deactivate another agent: so you can choose the infliction your like best.

Personally none of this makes me happy as we have about 400 servers to do and we don't want to go around them having to activate and deactive agents every time a bug is discovered.

It would commendable to HP if there was a remote utility for that or a batch file or something to script.

There is a communication from HP that the problem will be fixed with 7.50, to be released april the 18th, which will be released on cd with newly ordered servers.
You have to wait to may 15 th however if you want to dowload it. Hopefully it will be available earlier via the repository.

I just can't wait....
