hello 'world',

I'm having problems to implement the nai-mibs in a proper way ( sometimes I'd like to know more how all that things works...).

if registered the nai.mib, then the tvdmib.mib (not thatones that sheeps with netshield because it is faulty - www.mibcentral.com has a correcte one (taken from a netshield hotfix that should eliminate snmp-errors).
cim 7 doesn't show me the correct typ of trap recived - it says me, that some generig trap arrived referecing some cpqgen.mib...
any ideas?

I've exactly the same problem as you. Did you find out a way to fix it??

If yes could you let me know how you did resolv the problem (is there another mib in the world???)

Sounds like the MIB is not registered. When a trap is receieved that Insight Manager does not know about, we use some generic support in CPQGEN to display the info.

If you uploaded the MIB, did you then register it (move it from the right to the left column)? Where there any errors during compilation?

i have the same problem. Has anyone new Information. I upload the nai.mib und tvdmib.mib an then i register it without any errors. But the traps are cant identified. IM 7 show generic unregistred TRAPs. Anyone a idea?

Hello together. We use until now the Virusscan 4.5 from McAfee. Today i upgrade it to 7.0 Enterprise Version. And regester nai.mib and tvdmib.mib delivered with these version. Compiling without any problems but the TRAPs are generic unregistred. A Call to McAfee Support without any reasen. The Support says to me, that he heard only from me the problem :-( but thats not right. Here in this forum are few Topics with the same problem. Has anyone a reasen or an idea to solve this problem. Here the IM 7 INFO about the TRAP:

Ok, i don??t want to annoy anyone. My last question is. Has someone the same combination and does it works. Which IM 7 SP? Which McAffe MIB and Software Version?

Can you receive the Test-TRAPs or another TRAPs which are not unregistered?

It would be a great help if anyone answer!

I 've got the same problem. No solution found till today and i think anyone in the world should write a correct Mib to import into CIM. My knowledge is not deep enough to do that, but maybe HP has peoples who can do that for all of us who are using CIM and McAfee Virusscan.
