What SQL account are you using? There seems to be issues if you don't use the SA account.

Jeff

I have tried sp 3a, also tried hot fix 8.00.0762. no luck. Im loading win2000 server w \ sql 2000 and will attempt to load im72 into. as a test.
Im pretty new to sql. If I load im72 with msde it will take my default instance. However will work. I can then load my sql into a new instance and everything works. My concern was that my main database is now in the new instance. Would this create any performance issues?? That is using my main database which isnt very big 2 gbs. from a instance other than default.??

Any other concerns with running from a new instance name??

thank you!!!

You're fine as long as you have the proper server resources. It does not matter wheteher you run it from a new instance or the default.
