Has anyone found a solution to this, I have the same problem. A little update on mine when I add a second node to the cluster it deletes the first node out of SIM. I can do a search on the first node and it will not find it. I have two DL380 clusters and two BL20P clusters, I have the same problem on each.

I have recently added a number of MSCS to my IM7 server and all appears fine except two of my clusters are only showing a single node on the server listings. If I try to manually enter the cluster node that is not showing it tells me that it already exists and so far the only difference between those that work and those that dont is that the offending 2 clusters are ProLiant Packaged Cluster servers. All my servers are running 6.20 agents that are configured the same as we have only just completed a company wide rollout. OS is Windows 2k SP3. Has anyone had similar problems? TIA

little update, whichever server is running the default cluster resource will be listed, if I fail over to the over node that server name appears and the other node disappears. The strange thing is that I have other clusters that do not have this problem and they are all running the same agents, same OS and similar cluster config, please can anyone help this IM7 noob, tia again

Hi Billy,

Check to make sure the cluster agent is set to active for all nodes in the cluster. You can find this in the "Compaq Management Agents" applet in control panel.

Let me know if it works,

Jeff

hi -

Let see if this work, go to Devices -> Queries -> Devices by type -> All clusters

the query will return all clusters that are seen. check to see if the other node in question that is not showing under servers is there. If it is, then go to the manual discovery section, Edit device. Type in the device name that is not showing under servers. Click on get device parameters. It will return the device information. If the type is cluster, you can change it to Server then click on the Apply to device button.

Let me know if that works for you. I'm just taking a guess here but I experienced an issue similar to yours and that's what I did to resolve it. he node was showing under clusters instead of servers

I have fixed the issue on my systems, The SIM server was have a name resolution issue. I deleted all servers out of SIM and flushed the DNS Cache on my SIM Server. I then added the cluster devices one at a time and they all showed correctly.
