Windows 98 can't do this out of the box. You'll need some 3rd party software such as wingate, which will let you forward certain ports to the cobalt box for instance. (e.g. web, mail etc)

Adding to Bryce,

the 2 most known solutions are Wingate and Janaserver.

Wingate is the most famous, but you're supposed to pay for it, Janaserver is the fre alternative :
wingate
http://download.com.com/3000-2085-10006621.html

jana :
http://www.janaserver.de/start.php?lang=en

J

The answer to your question is Winroute. It has DHCP, mail, DNS, packet filtering, NAT and other useful features.

www.winroute.com - Download the professional addition. It is easy to setup and does not use many resources.

*post edited by HP forum moderator to remove personal information

Hi,

Perhaps you have another solution.
Why not connect the ADSL router to the linux box?

The linux box can be configured like a gateway, so all request can pass through the linux box to win98 without any changes except those you need to pass to the web/mail server.

Frank.
