Update switches using Procurve Manager

Hi,

I'm trying to update the firmware of several HP Procurve switches using Procurve Manager 2.2, but it always gives an error:

Fernando I am having the same problem, to see the reply I receieved follow the link below to my post.

There has been some reconfiguration on our network this summer and I need to check internet and ftp access is available on my server you may need to do the same.

Fernando,

Does your PCM server have two NICs or use a VPN (multi homed).

I have just found some info about setting the IP address PCM attaches itself to.

Check out the PCM Getting Started Guide.

If you have another TFTP program or something else using the TFTP port you may also have a problem with PCM.

Fernando,

I have resolved this problem on my switches by doing the following:

Disable Windows TFTP in Services Snap in

Restart PNM Service in services snap in

I do not yet know what effect disabling the Windows TFTP service will have as it is part of the windows deployment system, but it means I can update the thirty switches more easily.
