I have a 740WL, 5308 switches with wireless xl modules installed and 420 wireless access points. I have access points on the same site as the 740 and the 5308 and I can see these on the 740 and can ping them and connect to them fine. I also have 420 access points located at another site on our WAN, the 740WL can see these access points and they allow wireless clients to connect ok, but I'm not able to ping these access points. When I look at the access points via the 740WL I can see the ping being received by the access point but it does not send a reply.

That was it. I had set the gateway to be the HP5308 switch, which I thought would do it, but when I set it to the routers ip address it worked. Many thanks for you help.
