    <description>When I try to add a new dial up connection on Hp Pavilion zt1155, Win XP Pro Modem: ESS Superlink M-Data Fax Voice Modem. I recieve Error 711 "cannot load the Remote Access Connection Manager Service.A configuration error on this computer is preventing this connection."&lt;BR /&gt; The modem works using hyperterminal and doing a modem query is succesful. can anyone shed some light on this issue.       <description>On NT you used to get this with Plug and Play Service disabled.  Check and see if you have it on.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q170029" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q170029&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I assume you have the latest XP updates:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com" target="_blank"&gt;http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HP has a new BIOS and a maybe a new XP modem driver for your box (HP Note: This driver is only for the HP Omnibook or Pavilion notebook models with an HP model code of IB/IC running Windows XP.):&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix81302en_US.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix81302en_US.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If none of the above help then try removing the modem, reboot and then let it find it again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ron&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
