ProCurve 2824 questions

We have a ProCurve J4903A Switch 2824, version I.08.98, ROM I.08.07.

I'd like to know:

1. How do I find out if there's any useful or necessary updates for this switch??

2. If I enable jumbo frames on the VLAN, will that negatively affect the ports that I have set for 100FDx?? I can't have these change.

3. I have one port set to Auto-1000, will this one be affected or not??

1-yes you can update switch very useful
because switch is away many new feature and enhancemend speciality also repair some production bug
your switch software version I08.98(very old) you can update new software version and upload on switch

2-not so bad enable jumbo freame on vlan 1 and for 100 baseFDx port jumbo

3-you can write Auto 1000 command on port
this port server only 1000BaseT network card
if you can connect 100 base network card on port out of action

Just to add to Cenk's response...

The location mentioned to download the newer software should also contain a link to Release Notes. The Release Notes should contain information about Enhancements and Fixes that were implemented in the different versions of code.
