2510 hangs on boot up

my 2510 now hangs when it boots up - it worked fine awhile ago, but now I just get the hourglass, even after rebooting. It is not connected to a LAN - I am trying to set up the wireless connection.

I think loop occur on your netwrok
you can must be enable spanning tree on your switch

I also did a full reset on it, but again, when it boots up it still hangs (shows the hourglass forever).

I cant print a conf page b/c I cant get to the menu. I went thru the install wizard anyway - I logged on to 192.168.0.197 (b/c I'm WPA) and set the values as needed. I get to the screen where it displays the vital stats - SSID, Infrastructure, etc...

Device Name: psc 2500 series
Wireless Settings:
Mode: Infrastructure
Network Name: Scouty
Authentication: Pre-shared Key (EAP/PSK)
Encryption: Enabled
TCP/IP Settings
IP Address: Automatically obtain (or auto)

but thats as far as i can go; wehen i chick FINISH it then goes back to discovering the printer, then displays the same info as above. I still have an hourglass on the screen (on the printer)...

also on boot up the scanner goes to the right and makes a load clicking sound for about 2 hours.
should i "walk out" the scanner by unplugging and plugging it back in?
