DHCP Vlan - Assign specific IPs

Hi,
I've been asked to create a Vlan for our new wireless system. Currently we have one flat IP addressing system (something I'd like to change in the future)

The wireless system would ideally be setup to get only IP's from our 172.16 scope but only form 172.16.2.*/24 range, the wireless system vlan and the defualt vlan must be able to talk to each other.. Attached is what we have currently setup - the 192 range is working fine and the 172 is handing out IP's fine too.

Do I have to create scopes for all the 172.16.1.* 172.16.2.* etc etc ? if so how to I get them to talk to each other ?

hi David

1-you can must be new vlan on network for wireless client and ip routing enable on switch

2-you can create new scobe on dhcp server for wireless network client

3-you can config ssid vlan taging status on wireless access point device

for example

ssid name:xxxxx
vlan status :enable
vlan id :50
vlan :tag

and connect wireless access point device vlan 1 untag vlan 50 tag port on switch

sory I can see now yor network layout.

ok you create vlan 20 for wireless network and attach wireless device F2 port on switch

interface F2 must be vlan 1 untagged port and vlan 20 tagged port .

and... you can setting on wireless access point device ssid vlan state

for example

ssid name :xxxxx
vlan :enable
tagging vlan 20

I'll consulte the Trapeze engineers when they come onsite to see if this is a viable solution.

Thank you for the help.

I will talk to the Trapeze (Wireless Manufacuter) engineers when they arrive at our building to see if this is a good solution.
