In the slot Е I fix(establish) the new module j4820b всеравно chassis: Slot E Download Failed. At installation of the first module in other slot all has earned.

The error points to an error with slot e and the interface to the backplane

Swap slot e with an other card see if the errors returns there is a problem with chasis and need to be replaced else the card.

And log a call with HP Support

In the slot Ð was ProCurve J4820B XL 10/100-TX module SG546RC0HF then it(he) was rearranged in the slot G. Excuse for bad English

please change slot e module whit slot g

and you follow switch log

if you see same eror log on slot g fault module

if you see same eror log on slot e fault chasis

I took obviously Ð¸Ñ Ð¿Ñ Ð°ÐµÐ½ the module J4820B and established it(him) in the slot E and observed Ð²Ñ ÐµÑ Ð°Ð²Ð½Ð¾ a mistake, and the module from the slot E has established in the slot G and all well

I have pulled out J4820B XL 10/100-TX module s/n SG546RC0HF from the slot E and has established in the slot E new J4820B XL 10/100-TX module s/n SG649RC043
I observe the following message

I 10/24/08 08:07:42 chassis: Slot E Removed
I 10/24/08 08:07:46 chassis: Slot E Inserted
I 10/24/08 08:07:47 chassis: Slot E Downloading
W 10/24/08 08:08:21 chassis: Slot E Download Failed

I withdraw the module J4820B XL 10/100-TX module s/n SG649RC043 from the slot E.
I fix(establish) the module J4820B XL 10/100-TX module s/n SG546RC0HF in the free slot G where all well.

ohh ok.
you damaged slot e on 5308 chasis switch
please call you hp support and replace chasis
