    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is Procurve 2650 enabled to do network monitoring? I'm trying to install a PC with 2 network card so that i could stream all network through this pc and monitor what is being downloaded or uploaded.</description>

      <description>For the 2600 series of switches, there is a feature called "Port Mirroring", through which you can designate a port for monitoring inbound (ingress) and outbound (egress) traffic of other ports and of static trunks on the switch. &lt;BR /&gt;The switch monitors the network activity by copying all inbound and outbound traffic on the specified interfaces to the designated monitoring port, to which a network analyzer can be attached.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check this chapter for configuration etc:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/Mgmt-Oct2005-59906023-AppB.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;http://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/Mgmt-Oct2005-59906023-AppB.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope that helps!&lt;BR /&gt;Javed</description>
