Hi,

ive been rolling out the loop-protect feature across a site with a range of HP switches.

Its worked for all bar the 25xx series, i was wondering if this feature is avaliable on these switches?

I have upgraded the switches to F.05.72 which is the most recent version but still have no luck

The commands used are

switch config: loop-protect eth (ports)
switch config: loop-protect disable-timer 120

Regards

Marc

Product is too old to support this feature.
Not enough memory or flash to support this.

They support RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol). Which is the standards based equivalent to loop protect. IIRC you can emulate loop protect behavior using spanning-tree bpdu protection.
