Fixed-port Switch with 10+ Dual Personality Ports ???

Hi,

I am in a need of a fixed-port switch that has only dual-personality ports or that has more than 4 dual personality ports.

I want a switch that would allow me to terminate about 10+ fiber connections.

Is there a fixed-port switch in the HP Procurve family that ships for such purpose?

I have used this switch for similar needs in the data center.

H3C S5820X-28S Series 10-Gigabit Switch

Normally when we need all SFP ports, we are using blades in a big iron switch such as Cisco 6500 series or the larger HP chasis.

The 6200yl is a 24 port mini-mGBIC switch, full Layer 3 capable.

Sorry, I forgot the Comware 5 switch family (old 3Com/H3C now owned by HP).

The S5500 and S5820 Comware 5 families have all mGBIC fixed port option switches as indicated in the other post.

All of these switches mentioned are Layer 3 capable, and basically equal in most functions, just depends on what software/routing protocol features you need - that dictates some of the overall pricing.

CLI on the ProVision ASIC switch (6200yl) is very similar to Cisco CLI in commands, CLI on Comware 5 switches is somewhat similar although alot of the commands themselves are different - but it is not difficult to get used to it.
