Hello,
I got a question for you.
I have 2 HP Procurve 2810(24P)on my network.
I have a HP lefthand P4300 for the storage, connected to the 2 HP Procurve.
The first network card of the lefthand P4300 is connected to the port number 1 of my first HP Procurve and the second network card is connected to the port 1 of my second HP Procurve.
My question is :
Is it usefull to make an aggregation link in the configuration of my two HP procurve between the port number 1 of each HP Procurve in order to have 2GB/S of bandwith in one link for the lefthand ? (instead of the 2 * 1GB/s for the two link)

Thanks

On the 2810 series you can't aggregate ports on different switches together.

The proper configuration is to have the P4300's attached to each switch and have an LACP trunk between the two switches. Also, you should be using Adaptive Load Balancing on the P4300.

Currently, the two Procurve's are attached to a 3COM switch by two links (in an LACP trunk) for each procurve.
So should I have to do an LACP trunk between the two procurve's ?
Thanks.
I attach a doc for you to see what is done today

I would probably use an LACP trunk between the two 2810's and use Spanning Tree to block one of the uplinks to one of the 3COM switches. The shorter the path, the lower the latency.

thanks for your answers.
Should I configure the spanning tree for all ports of the procurve's or only for the ports linked to 3COM ?

looking to the doc I attached, don't you think there is loop ?

because, i don't see a lot of activity in my second HP Procuve's switch where all link of the DL380 and P4300 are redunded

To complete my answer for you :
on the second switch I found a lot of RX error's for the two ports where I created the trunk LACP
