On any network switch, disable spanning-tree, connect 2 ports, the switch will stop.

On more than 1 switch, do same, create a few loops between switches...network will grind to a halt within seconds with a large broadcast storm such as that.

(been there, done that)

hth...Jeff

Hello Guys,

Anybody have a sample doc for what all causes complete or partial network break down on Procurve Network?

As I'm preparing for this for a project that our client requested to provide test plan and this one, I have prepared the test plan, but I don't have any templates for the causes of complete or partial network down...

Please help me if anyone have such doc.

Regards,
Mohi

Ok, I got it..But what I am looking that something documented. if you want I can show you a template of test plan, so basically I am looking something very similar to this.

There are lot of other reasons for a network failure, But I need from level to level..
