      <title>Having problem accessing Procurve 2510 using console</title>

      <description>i am having problem as per subject with 2 new switches.2510-24 and 2510-48&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i am using windows xp, hyper terminal, with usb-to-serial convertor.&lt;BR /&gt;Hyper terminal settings as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;-VT100&lt;BR /&gt;-9600&lt;BR /&gt;-no parity bit&lt;BR /&gt;-8 data bit&lt;BR /&gt;-1 stop bit&lt;BR /&gt;-Xon / Xoff control&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the hyper terminal is not responding on pressing "enter". upon rebooting the switch, i can see some output, but the hyper terminal becomes not responding shortly after.&lt;BR /&gt;i cant even enter a command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;tried the following, still the same results.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&amp;amp;cc=us&amp;amp;taskId=115&amp;amp;prodSeriesId=4063679&amp;amp;prodTypeId=12883&amp;amp;objectID=c02609092" target="_blank"&gt;http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&amp;amp;cc=us&amp;amp;taskId=115&amp;amp;prodSeriesId=4063679&amp;amp;prodTypeId=12883&amp;amp;objectID=c02609092&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;apprepricate any advice on resolving the issue.</description>

      <description>yes. both are 2510. the output posted earlier is from one of the switches.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i managed to access the switches via telnet (advice from other threads) by using a dhcp server to allow the switch to have an ip address first.</description>

      <description>[cont from earlier reply]&lt;BR /&gt;even though i have set the baud rate, accessing through console still does not seems to work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the configuration of the switch is attached.</description>
