      <description>Hi averyone (1st post for me)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried to setup policies on PCM+&lt;BR /&gt;with email notification, but when i enforce&lt;BR /&gt;policy (to verify the correct behavior)&lt;BR /&gt;PCM does not send email... that is,&lt;BR /&gt;no SMTP connection goes out of PCM Server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any clue ?&lt;BR /&gt;Regars&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi Marco &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please make step by step test&lt;BR /&gt;1-check smtp profile under preferance tab&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2-check your policy; alert action and policy enable &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3-make this policy attach second action for example display message dialog &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;running policy and watch &lt;BR /&gt;if not run display message dialog action  your policy broken   &lt;BR /&gt;if running display message dialog action &lt;BR /&gt;check smtp account.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4-so if smtp server reside out site network may be deny smtp protocol pcm server ip address check firewall &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;****test on pcm server&lt;BR /&gt;telnet &lt;SMTPSERVER ip=""&gt; 25&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if unreachable  smtp server between pcm server with port 25 pcm server ip bloked on firewall  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5-if connect telnet connection on port 25 between pcm server and smtp server no to happen connection problem on port 25&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;6-then check other factor&lt;BR /&gt;for example trend micro antivirus server blocked some device smtp request must be config on trend micro server pcm server ip address for smtp trusted address &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;may it be easy ;)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SMTPSERVER&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;i did all the checks before starting the thread. But, to be sure, i will do it again following you step-by-step:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1- SMTP profile is OK: address, port and existing reply address. Please note that server does not require authentication, so no need to provide username/password for sending mail.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2- and 3- Policy+Alert+Acion is OK: display message dialog pops up correctly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4- SMTP server is an INRA-net server, sitting on the same subnet of PCM server: no routing and no firewall between them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5- Tried to setup an Outlook Express (on PCM server) account with same settings of step 1: mail is sent correctly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;6- About other factors: &lt;BR /&gt;(a) I checked with TCPdump the TCP connections: no TCP connection to mail server is done by PCM when policy is triggered.&lt;BR /&gt;(b) Windows firewall is disabled.&lt;BR /&gt;(c) Antivirus is MCAFEE VirusScan enterprise 8.5.0</description>
