Hello,

I have 3COM 4500 switch

when trying to config the port security via limit the max mac address learn

It showing the following error message

[4500-Ethernet2/0/23]port-security port-mode autolearn
This mode can not be configured, please undo all fabric-port first.

---

It was work fine when the stack was not stacking, but fail to run this command after stacking the switch.

What problem here and how to solve it?

I got some reason why because it is using stacking now so fabric-port was enabled.

Did is means "port-security port-mode autolearn" will not able to learn. My purpose is limit number of MAC learn by each port.

Is the software on the switches up-to-date? (03.03.02p21)

Have you considered using port-security with a RADIUS server? And using 802.1X?

Hello,

yes, the software is already up-to-date.

It using local 802.1x auth without external Radius server assistant.
