    <description>&lt;P&gt;Dears,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am really new here, this is my first post in this forum.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apparently I need some experts help so here it goes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have&amp;nbsp;an &amp;nbsp;"HP procurve switch 3500yl-24g (j8692a)" as a core switch, i was requested to implement a redundant core switch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And I am really confused what to choose.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So if anyone have a suggestions on which switch should i use to use it as a redundancy for my switch?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanking you in advance,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you currently have a 3500 and it handles the requirements (except for the redundancy), I would opt for a stack of 2 3800 switches. Simple to configure, no vrrp, simple trunks to access switches.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just firmware updates will require downtime,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps,Peter.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
