      <description>You have to download the IOS from the cisco site (which you can only do if you have a maintenance agreement with them and thus an enabled login).  Then you do a firmware update using a tftp server.  Easier just to use the Cat OS.  It's not difficult to figure out.  Instead of going to conf t to make a change and saving the changes with a wr me, you just say "set" in front of the command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What do you want to do?       <description>If you just cleared running-config, then your flash should still be working. Did you use a confreg ? If so, re-do confreg 0x2142, by-pass initial set up and you are in.&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise, tell us what command you entered exactly to 'clear' this configuration, and what does the switch displays exctly at login...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;J</description>
