topic Port monitoring in Switches, Hubs, and Modems

Hello everyone

I'm a apprentice and been given the task to monitor connectivity on a switch, so all the inactive lines can be closed. But the way for monitoring seems very inconvinent and time exhausting... Where you manually have to take each port and see if any frames goes through and so on.

If there is a way could you please show me a faster and more efficent way to monitor our switch ports? We honestly don't have the resources, and would love for some help.

Thanks in advance <LI-EMOJI id="lia_red-heart" title=":red_heart:"></LI-EMOJI>

Deploy librenms NMS (librenms.org) against your switch by using SNMP...you will gain a lot of spare time!
