topic ProCurve 2524 - CPU High Utilization in Switches, Hubs, and Modems

I've been looking through the forums for similar issues but I haven't found a solution, yet.

Using:
HP Procurve 2524 Layer-2 switch
logged in and connected via console
F_05_22 firmware

When switch boots, CPU utilization rises to 90-92% for about 25 mins, then drops to 10-20% continuously. This is with no devices attached and the switch is sitting standalone logged in via console.
Checked log, no errors.
Downgraded firmware to F.05.17 and F.05.09 and still showed 90-92% utilization.

I've tried this on three (3) 2524's with the same results. I have checked the specs on the 2524's and their processors are 65MHz ARM type.
Just curious as to what it could be doing in this time.

Cheerz.
Scott
