I have 3 seperate connections between my procure 3400cl switch & a Cisco switch. My link status shows up, but I am unable to pass traffic. The Cisco side shows up but received BPDU errors & blocks traffic. I do not have any vlans "tagged" on these ports. I do have them "untagged" to their respective vlan that they should be assigned to. PLEASE HELP!!

Cisco errors are:

2005 Dec 02 20:54:51 CST -06:00 %SPANTREE-2-RX_1QNONTRUNK: Rcved 1Q-BPDU on non-trunk port 13/31 vlan 727 from 00-12-80-5b-46-9a
2005 Dec 02 20:54:51 CST -06:00 %SPANTREE-2-RX_1QPVIDERR: Rcved pvid_inc BPDU on 1Q port 13/31 vlan 727 from 00-12-80-5b-46-9a
2005 Dec 02 20:54:51 CST -06:00 %SPANTREE-2-RX_BLKPORTPVID: Block 13/31 on rcving vlan 727 for inc peer vlan 3

Hello Kevin,

the problem might be that the Cisco is configured for PVST+ or Rapid-PVST+.

If the Cisco switch receives somehow Cisco propriatary STP BPDU's on an access port it will block the port.

You may disable STP on these Cisco access ports with the Cisco bpdufilter command if you don't want to interact on Spanning-Tree with the ProCurve switch.

Regards

Holger
