    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The ports may have been accidently disabled.&lt;BR /&gt;Try "Enabling" the ports and check with the&lt;BR /&gt;config again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Nameesh.&lt;BR /&gt;Ps:&lt;BR /&gt;Don't forget 2 assign points if it works :)</description>

      <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;hi ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i type the "switchshow" command in an HP sw san 4/32 switch , i get the following  display.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;admin&amp;gt; switchshow&lt;BR /&gt;switchName:     cftswitch1&lt;BR /&gt;switchType:     32.0&lt;BR /&gt;switchState:    Offline&lt;BR /&gt;switchMode:     Native&lt;BR /&gt;switchRole:     Disabled&lt;BR /&gt;switchDomain:   191 (unconfirmed)&lt;BR /&gt;switchId:       fffcbf&lt;BR /&gt;switchWwn:      10:00:00:05:1e:02:8d:53&lt;BR /&gt;zoning:         OFF&lt;BR /&gt;switchBeacon:   ON&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Area Port Media Speed State&lt;BR /&gt;==============================&lt;BR /&gt;  0   0   id    N4   No_Sync   Disabled&lt;BR /&gt;  1   1   id    N4   No_Sync   Disabled&lt;BR /&gt;  2   2   id    N4   No_Sync   Disabled&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;my question to all you folks is why is the state showing diabled ??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;FYI version command gives the following details &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;admin&amp;gt; version&lt;BR /&gt;Kernel:     2.4.19&lt;BR /&gt;Fabric OS:  v5.0.1b&lt;BR /&gt;Made on:    Wed Aug 17 21:28:17 2005&lt;BR /&gt;Flash:      Tue Apr 4 19:28:32 2006&lt;BR /&gt;BootProm:   4.5.2</description>

      <description>workaround is to disable POST by the command: diagDisablePost. The switch will skip POST and will come up enabled.&lt;BR /&gt;this issue will be address with future firmware release</description>
