Hello,

I need to connect a terminal server to a HP server D390 HP-UX 10.20.

I need to know which values must be set up to the terminal server port...
Usually the following values are enough :
- Baud Rate : 9600 bps
- Data Size : 8
- Stop Bit : 1
- Parity : none
- Pace (Handshake) xon/xoff

But it seems it doesn't work this time...

Someone can help me and know how can I check the currently values set up on my server ?

Thanks,

When you say terminal server, are you talking about a networked DTC?

If you are doing a modem, specifying baud rate 9600 default to 7 bit. See /etc/gettydefs for baud rates and settings.

HTH

-- Rod Hills

The 9600-8-none-1 and XON/XOFF are standard and I assume you are connecting the D390's console to the server for remote access. In most cases, you will just need a crossover cable to reverse pins 2 and 3. I keep a 9pin and a 25pin crossover adapter (aka null modem) just for this purpose. If it doesn't work with the existing cables. just insert the crossover adapter.
