Intermittent Wireless card problem in Omnibook 6100

My internal wireless card, which has been working perfectly since I set up a wireless network in my office 6 months ago, has started to become intermittent, often connecting and disconnecting several times a minute.

The network works fine with the other wireless PC's in the office and I can connect fine to the hub using a network cable.

Is there a commonly known problem with these cards? Is there a software patch that could help or is it likely a hardware problem?
