Well, if everything runs perfect then you need not perform a repair in the computer. Something like, "Not to trouble the trouble the trouble unless the trouble troubles You....:).."..

Happy Computing, have a great weekend..!!..

We had to "repair" my XP Pro installation in order to get the WLAN 802... W400 to work with our setup and now the blue LED doesn't turn on any more. Does anyone know how to fix this??????

Hello,

Is the issue is with the Wireless connectivity and the LED light or is it only with the LED? If you are able to connect thro wireless and the LED does not glow then the LED has gone bad and need to replace. And I suggest you to contact HP Tech Support to get it rectified.

IF, it is the problem with the Wireless, could you give us the error message?

Sundar Krishna.

Problem resolved. Here's the gory details. I was told that to get the wireless working I would have to do a Windows XP repair on the nc6000. Did that and that's when the LED (and keys) stopped working. I asked if there was a drivers disk and was told no, that all I had to do was the windows repair.

This morning I pressed for the HP drivers disk and they finally "found one". After loading the HP drivers, everything is working correctly.

Now whether or not I actually needed to run the Windows repair is highly suspect. I kind of doubt it, but I didn't have a lot of time yesterday to argue with them, so I just did it.
