Hello all, I am having trouble connecting to my network. When I am trying to connect I get the error "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again." I have tried troubleshooting, but still no results. Please help.

latrice_tolliver@yahoo.com

Thank you

wong

pls notice that you have lo (loopback) device ragardless you have any NIC(network interface card). loopback device is just a software emulation so pinging 127.0.0.1 you are checking you OS have TCP/IP stack...

well anyway it's first step...

after that you should ping adress you have assign to your NIC... so before you connect you assign IP adres manualy for example 192.168.0.2 and ping 192.168.0.2 if it work than NIC should be OK...

then set essid(ssid) and try to get IP from DHCP, if you got one in your network....

you should use wireshark to check the trafic any see if packets are going OK...

also check security settings on AP... for example you have allowed MAC address of your computer....

anyway better information of your problem will help us t help you...
