error code 102 - unsupported wireless network adapter

I recently purchased an Engenius EMP-8602. When I go to install it in my Hp Pavilion Dv8305us, I get this error code: "code 104 - unsupported wireless network adapter - system halted". Please can you advise me on the correct steps to overide or fix this problem? Thank You very much. David Ramos

Hi David

What OS are you running? Have you installed the correct drivers for it? As fas as I've noticed, there are only drivers for Windows 2000/XP, that you can download from http://www.engeniustech.com/Datacom/products/resources.aspx?cat=6&ID=176

I am running Windows Xp Home Edition svc Pk 2, and yes I have the correct drivers, and I've updated my bios. I can get the card to work, "IF" I plug it in while windows is running, the card works fantastic with no errors at all, until I power off or reboot, then the same Error Code comes up.
