    <description>hi i just bought a compaq nv600 laptop and i have at&amp;amp;t internet and im trying to set up a wireless connection but i keep getting no wireless device detected. im really new to this and i am completely confused, can anyone tell me if i need to get a notebook card or router or anything additional to do this??? thanks so much for any help!</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;the Internet through ATT is DSL.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What do you have?  A small DSL (SpeedStream?) modem or a larger 2wire DSL modem with wireless router?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can just connect a wireless router to your DSL modem.  My Linksys router has a cable that connects to the modem, 4 ports for wired connections and wireless.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Once you get the equipment, you then need to configure the network and security.</description>
