When upgrading the firmware for our modems, half of them worked and the other half are stuck in BOOT mode. I can't seem to do anything with these. Please advise. I have tried several times to upgrade them but to no avail..."cannot find the s record" or "error sending a packet" Thanks in advance.

We will need to know which firmware upgrade was attempted (file names involved).

Also the Part Number and Serial Number of the 4 port boards involved.

Being stuck in "Boot Mode" .. does thes mean you see the "Boot Ok" message when sending AT^V command (At shift 6 then V) ?

What was the older version in the 4 port modem?

If you must send email, then send it to microcom-support@compaq.com

Bob E
COMPAQ NA CSC
Microcom Products Support
