    <description>First step is to log in to your cable modem/switch with the cabled connection and see if your laptop's wifi connection is seen in the set up screen, if yes it's a config issue. if not then you probably need a driver for the O/S.</description>

      <description>Hi just got a 2nd hand hp pavillion dv4000 laptop. it worked fine but had alot of items on. so i formatted it. now the internet doesnt work without the cable. I dont know what i have done wrong and dont know how i can mend it. please can anyone help me. my cable is with virgin media and when yellow cable is plugged in to laptop internet comes straight on. when i take cable out it says internet not connected. please can anyone tell me an easy step by step way of getting my laptop working please. many thanks</description>
