Physical memory swap

Hi ALL,

We have four server. Two servers are rx6000 and other two servers rx3600.we need a swap the physical memory rx3600 to rx6000 is it possible?

compare the spec of server in term of memory if module are same then you can very much use the memory in other server.

Its very much possible as both the server use the same DIMM module.

don't know what kind of memory these two kinds of server are using, just check of HP parts at
http://h20141.www2.hp.com/Hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=B49CDD9EFF7548EBAEC46CCC1423AB62&SearchIn=Product
and find out which parts of memeory your servers are employing, and this should be a good way to deal with your issues like this

just input rx3600 or rx6000 at product number or name and click go, search for memory product number of your server

I guess too it would depend on having vacant slots in the destination server.

Panneer-

The simple answer is, yes, the memory in the rx6600 and rx3600 are interchangeable. They employ the same HP SKU's for all kits.
You just need to make sure you have enough slots open in the server you want to swap memory into.
The memory in these servers is installed in quads (4 boards at a time)

rx6600 and rx3600 are very similar, so if a DIMM works in one of them, it will work in the other too.

Hi ALL,

I am not able restart the service in linux os.please see the below error

httpd: unrecognized service
mysqld: unrecognized service

Please help to resolve the above issue.
