Hello,
Trying to identify a reasonable server replacements for T520, D350 and K420:

T520 12/way, 2GB RAM box. I am thinking that even 3410 could meet the need, but is that pushing it?

D350, 2cpu, 1/gb ram.
K420, 4cpu, 2GB RAM
Can 3410s meet the needs of all?
Thanks for your help.

Since this was posted in the Integrity Server catagory, I would recommend an rx4640 with 4 processors.

This recommendation, of course, is made without knowing your OS, NOS, applications, storage requirements, connectivity requirements, what it will be used for, etc.

While we can guess that the OS involved is HP-UX since that is the only supported OS on the T520, D350 and K420, it would indeed be good to know about the applications and I/O on each system. Also, while those model names likely do give an implicit statement about CPU frequency, it would be helpful to get a refresher :)

Since your servers are really aged, almost every current system will satisfy your needs.

e.g. a T520 is using a PA-7000 family CPU with 120 MHz, your D- and K-class are at the same stage.

A thought about the applications would be helpful.

Doris,

Make the following considerations before choosing a server

1) Is my application supported on Integrity
2) What will be the influence of moving to HPUX 11.23
