I have a new server which does not have a monitor console and keyboard. I connected my labtop to the MP lan port on the server but get nothing on my laptop running XP. What do I have to do to get the MP login screen. I do show the light blinking on the MP lan port so I think it is working. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hola Juan,

Read the following:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96001-en/A7137-96001-en.pdf
Chapter 4

You need to configure the MP, before you can install the server.
You can either configure the com-port or attached a laptop to the server with a cross-cable. Configure the ILO-Lan port with a ip-address, based on the MAC-address.

Darrel
