I've heard that there's a "software" raid on the 2620, but don't know how to get to it. I believe this can be done prior to Windows boot.

I know how to turn on the windows software raid, but I'd rather something that's prior to Windows. ...

Anyone know how to do it?

Windows can do a "software" raid via the disk management, but I would consider to install a SMARTARRAY controller (e.g. 6402)

Hi,

if you ever consider to do S/W based mirroring (not advised) on a Itanium based systems then pls implement this article.
Carefully folluw it step by step if you want to have a fully redundant boot disk.

Hardware raid is still the most flexible solution and has best performance with the least downtime compared to S/W mirroring.
