I have a new rx4640 server. Everything went fine for the first boot . However, we added a san30 external storage and configured it using pvgreate, vgcreate and lvm tools. The partitions were mounted manually and the entries added in the fstab. However on rebooting i get the error message

Load of HP-UX Primary Boot: 0/1/1/0/4/0.0.0 failed: not found

The efi shell shows only
blk0
blk1

NO fsx: seen !!! How can i recover the sys ?

Thanxs

Hi,

I really don't know what a "san30" is, but just in case this is a scsi device, be aware you must not use the most left bottom scsi connector. Only if your internal disks are connected to the same bus (simplex), you are allowed to use the upper connector.

Do you still have the OS loaded on the internal disks?

In this case the pathes are:

0/1/1/0.1.0 (upper disk)
0/1/1/0.0.0 (lower disk - simplex)
0/1/1/1.0.0 (lower disk - duplex)

The path 0/1/1/0/4/0.0.0 is not a valid path - it is reserved.
