Finally able to load the Windows 2003 server. Somehow the previous OS CD woas not good for IVM.

I used Windows 2003 server Ent. 64 bit with no service pack. Installed with no problem.

After this OS was running the Host CPUs were sitting at 100%.

Installed SP2 on the windows and all the updates.

Now there is no 100% CPU uses and works with no problem

- Mainak

I am trying to load windows 2003 ia64 version on a RX5670 Itanium server.

Following this instruction:
http://docs.hp.com/en/T2767-90024/ch05s02.html

OS version 11.23 (September 2006)
T2801AA A.02.00.02.01 Integrity VM Trial Bundle
Installing from Windows media (Not HP)

I was successfull loading this Windows CD on RX7640 (nPar)

This VM is set for Windows type OS ans has 1GB memory. Everytime I am trying it goes through EFI and stops on a screen where I need to press enter to continue. At this time my keyboard do not work but I can press control B to go to vm console. I tried Reflection and Putty for the terminal. Tried vt100/ansi/vt400-7. all of them has same problem. (This is step 6 on the above mentioned doc)

Does anybody has any idea why keyboard does not work at this time?

It works and keyboard does not hang.

Somehow virtual console is not behaving well during installation.

Anyone has idea how to work around that?

Thanks in advance.
Mainak
