    <description>Actually, the procedure is a bit different from PA systems.  Essentially, instead of&lt;BR /&gt;'hpux -is /stand/vmunix' you type&lt;BR /&gt;'boot vmunix -is' to get to single user mode.&lt;BR /&gt;Screen log below...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After rebooting, interrupt&lt;BR /&gt;the boot sequence:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please select a boot option&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    HP-UX Primary Boot: 0/1/1/0.1.0                                 &lt;BR /&gt;    EFI Shell [Built-in]                                            &lt;BR /&gt;    Boot option maintenance menu                                    &lt;BR /&gt;    Security/Password Menu                                          &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    Use ^ and v to change option(s).       <description>Basically the same way as PA-RISC systems. Interrupt the boot process (by default there is a 10 second period where you have the option to intterrupt it), and enter 'hpux -is' at the prompt. That's it.</description>
